ONE MILLENnIUM BRIDGE
Set within Beltane Global’s landmark building, One Millennium Bridge, the atriums were envisioned as vibrant, living spaces that reveal the full potential of the architecture. Gemco Contracts Ltd design team set out to transform these volumes into destinations – places to gather, pause, and be inspired.
Working in harmony with the building’s striking architectural framework, careful attention was paid to every detail across both atriums. The Lambeth Hill atrium was developed from shell and core, with bespoke Cemento tiles crafted into sculptural steps, a seamless ramp, and refined wall cladding. Brass inlay details were introduced as both a design statement and a functional element, subtly defining step edges while adding warmth and elegance.
New and existing glazing was elevated through the use of reeded manifestation, softening views across the wider floor plates while introducing texture and visual depth. Furniture was curated with a hospitality-led approach, layering high-end fabrics with one-of-a-kind rugs to create a distinctly hotel-like atmosphere. The scale of the atriums invited oversized furniture pieces, bold colours, and striking patterns – elements that sit confidently within the expansive setting.
At ground level, the bleachers take centre stage, providing a flexible focal point for town hall meetings and larger gatherings. Custom, hand-crafted seat pads were designed to sit neatly atop the steps, complemented by bespoke planters that introduce much-needed greenery and soften the otherwise structural environment.
Now complete, the atriums stand ready to welcome incoming tenants – dynamic, adaptable spaces designed not only to be used, but to inspire the future transformation of the wider building.
